colltex® split: The Skin for Freeride Skis

colltex®split are light and convenient adhesive skins especially developed for broad, freeride skis. The skins consist of two 35 mm wide skin strips that are attached along the edges of the ski bottom and leave a strip free down the middle of the ski. The result is excellent gliding characteristics. colltex® split can be attached to every freeride ski no matter what the width or shape. These skins are available in three skin qualities, colltex extreme, colltex mix, and colltex synt. Please contact your dealer for more information.

We recommend waisted or straight colltex® skins for all-day tours and difficult climbs.

At ISPO 2007 in Munich colltex® presented ingenious attachment parts for attaching adhesive ski touring skins.

The days are gone when you needed skin tip and tail hooks in different widths for cut-to-size skin sets. Now with loop and camlock+ you have just one attachment piece each for the ski tip and tail in your product range.

Swiss Federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research (SLF) has examined our adhesive ski touring skins.

At our request, the gliding and climbing characteristics of adhesive ski touring skins were examined under different snow conditions for the first time. Please read the scientific test report (pdf-file 1.7 MB) from the SLF Davos or learn more in our general charts. «Die Alpen» will publish a summary of these findings in its December issue.
